The Voi, Henry Brothers, Marina Florance, Fingerstyle Monkeys, Stephen Scott, Fish Head, Holly Rumble, some Foolhardy Folk, The inimitable Olive Overall, Norwich Fiddle School & Unicorn Run, DJ Kaz and Abrazo di Tango, projections by Ingenieurs.

Plus sideshows and slideshows and a bar. A sample of many of the performances through the festival plus a glimpse of what’s on show in the city.

CHILDREN’S GUN AMNESTY & ROCK SHOW Cosmo, Joe Fool and friends from the Foolhardy Folk Circus say ‘Guns are not toys’.

Clowns know that guns are not fun and so these ever-popular clowns are asking children to come to the city and hand their toy guns to them in exchange for a red heart, a yellow duck and some fun entertainment – but this fun has a serious message, so kids, bring your guns out for the last time and hand them over to Cosmo and Joe.

The Dog-Eared Collective’s new show ‘Barnaby Brown, Orphan Extraordinaire’ plus Papa 41 (performance poet), 18th Arrondissement (French chanson) Rupert Mallin (performance poet) and DJ78 with his pre-vinyl playlist. Come to Blackfriars Hall’s transformed cabaret space and don’t miss this fantastic line-up, with the return of Dog-Eared Collective and their side-splitting new show, straight from Edinburgh, supported by our own home-grown acts. The Leeds-based collective wowed audiences around the UK in 2006 with their hilarious, self-penned and bizarre comedy ‘The Bi-Annual Barbeque and other stories’ and are back in 2007 with another smash-hit ‘Barnaby Brown: Orphan Extraordinaire’ which they describe as a ‘fast-paced comic assassination, codename: Dickens’.

Tickets £5 in advance from the Fringe Box Office at Norwich Studio Art Gallery, Upper St Giles or on the door but be warned, numbers are limited! Best get them before if you can. Bar and food available.

A Sylvia Plath extravaganza with films related to poetry and a first outing of ‘The Girl who would be God’, a beautiful animation by Suzie Hanna (using paper supplied by GF Smith) – a glimpse into the childhood years of Plath before she met Ted Hughes, plus mood music, surrounded by bookshelves in the upstairs lounge at the old subscription library.
