"it is coming". A 2017 retrospective on the 2007
Fring exhibition based on a book by Doris Lessing - a comment on the
present-day consumerism and a view from the future back to the present.
Upstairs: As well as Philip Browne's own collection of Colin Self
works, Colin has added work from his tourist series.
"Keith Pomeroy was born in Dec. 1948. He studied History and Fine Art
at Redland College in Bristol from 1968 to 1971. After teaching both
these subject for two years he “specialised” in teaching History. Part
of his Open University degree was in Art History.
He began taking photographs in the 1980s and began painting again in
1999.
He retired from teaching in July 2004 and is now able to devote much
more time to his art work. 2004 saw him break into the French market
with two solo exhibitions in the south of France. Since 2003 he has had
a constant presence (en permanence) at Gallerie Catalan, Ceret. He now
has a studio in France and has begun to work in France as well as in
Norwich."
